We're traveling to Disney with our daughter in October who will be 18 months. I got her a magic band but will she need to wear/use it if she's always with us?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Christine ~

Your trip is just around the corner and I bet you are too excited to sleep already! There is nothing like seeing the magic through the eyes of your little one.

I love using MagicBands! They are an amazing way to lessen the number of things I have to keep up with or remember to take with me to the theme parks. With your MagicBand, you will be able to:

    * Unlock the door of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room.
    * Enter the theme parks and water parks (with valid admission after you have linked your tickets to your My Disney Experience account).
    * Check in at FastPass+ entrances.
    * Connect Disney PhotoPass images to your account.
    * Charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney World Resort hotel room (this is only available during your hotel stay).

Your daughter will not need to wear a MagicBand. Guests under the age of 3 years old do not need a ticket to enter the theme parks or the water parks so you won't have any tickets to link to a MagicBand for her. If she wants to wear one to be like everyone else in your party, then she is more than welcome to wear one. You can even peel aware the colored part from the black part of the MagicBand to make it smaller for her wrist. Even then, it may be a little big.

Disney has put together a very useful Guide for Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones. It will give you some great information to use during your planning. And of course, please come back and ask us all of your planning questions. We are hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
