Traveling to Disney the beginning of August with my dear husband and our 18 year old High School graduate before she heads off to college. Only there for a day and headed to Epcot and need dining recommendations there or at one of the Disney hotels?

    Hi Karen,

Congratulations on your daughter's upcoming graduation! My oldest son graduated a few years ago, and I know how much hard work it takes from both the children and the parents to get there! It's a huge accomplishment for everyone! A visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is a wonderful way to celebrate this special milestone! There are so many wonderful places to dine at Epcot and also outside of the Theme Park that it's hard to narrow it down but, here are my top picks for your special celebration dinner:

    Spice Road Table
The atmosphere and the menu are fantastic, and it's a perfect place to view IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. Once you arrive at the Restaurant be sure to request a table close to the water in the open air section of the Restaurant. You may have to wait a bit, but it will be worth it for the gorgeous view of the show!

    The Garden Grill:
If you're looking for a Character Dining Experience with lots of fun and great food, then The Garden Grill is a perfect choice. We love how the Restaurant rotates around Living with the Land Attraction and that many of the vegetables served during the meal are grown in the Living with the Land greenhouses!

Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney's Yacht Club Resort:
Yachtsman Steakhouse is just a quick walk away from Epcot and has a delicious menu that not only includes great steaks, but amazing seafood dishes as well!

I hope these suggestions help in planning your visit!

    Magical Wishes,
    Susan
