    Hi there! We are traveling to Disney on Aug,26th,2012 for our first family Disney vacation. I was wondering when we should expect to receive our information from Disney? We are staying at the new Art of Animation resort and are very excited! Thanks!!”

    Hi, Emily! Congratulations! Your vacation is almost here! I can't wait to see the new Art of Animation Resort myself!  You will receive your vacation information packet around 4 weeks before your check-in date. Sometimes it comes a little sooner and sometimes a little later.  It will include information about the vacation package you have selected as well as your Walt Disney World Resort hotel.  Usually, there are also special vouchers and coupons and souvenir luggage tags.  If you are using Disney's Magical Express service, you will receive an additional package containing your Magical Express vouchers and Magical Express luggage tags.

    You will receive everything else when you arrive.  Your room key, theme parks tickets, and Disney Dining Plan entitlements (if applicable) are all on ONE card per person called your Key to the World card.  It is issued at your resort when you arrive.  Checking in online is the way to go if you don't have any special requests.  It saves time upon arrival because you basically just walk up and claim your welcome information and your Key to the World cards.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
