I will be traveling with my disabled mom. we will have her in a wheelchair at the parks Which if any rides can she stay in on her wheelchair (asking for all rides within all 4 parks) and will the moving path slow down for her to transfer to rides

Hello Lisa, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am excited to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few months. I have traveled to Disney Theme Parks many times with my relatives who have mobility issues. Due to my clumsiness, I also had to use an ECV during my trip a few weeks ago. One thing you will want to keep in mind is if your mom has certain health conditions, she may want to avoid rides that could be too intense for her. You should refer to the posted warnings for each ride or see a Cast Member if you have questions. For the most part, all shows in all 4 theme parks will allow her to remain in her wheelchair during the show in a designated viewing area.

The following rides will allow your mother to remain in her wheelchair in the Magic Kingdom, Jungle Cruise, Liberty Square Riverboat, and Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress. Your mom must be ambulatory to enjoy the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover and Swiss Family Treehouse. All other rides will require her to transfer to the ride vehicle.

All of the rides at Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will require her to transfer to a ride vehicle to enjoy those ride experiences. If there is a moving walkway, in most if not all instances, it can be stopped if not slowed down considerably to allow her to enter and exit. You can also refer to this handy guide for guests with disabilities and mobility issues. If you have any questions about a ride or attraction, please see a Cast Member for assistance.

    See ya real soon,
