traveling with my daughter 6 yrs with a severe peanut allergy wondering about dining in all types of places table, quick serve and of course ice cream/ desserts. Also was wondering if there is a food delivery service that will deliver to our room thanks

    Hi Lynn!

My son has multiple food allergies and our family has found all of the Chefs and Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort have done an amazing job with his Special Dietary Requirements! I like to use the Walt Disney World Resort section of allergyeats.com to help get an idea of the restaurants that may be safe for my little Mouseketeer. You can enter the food you are avoiding and the resort area you will be visiting to get an idea of Guest experiences at the area's restaurants. I find it really helpful to get an idea of how other Guests with similar dietary requirements experienced each location.

If you are dining at a table-service restaurant, note the peanut allergy on your reservation, notify your server of the allergy and speak to the Chef to select a safe and tasty meal for your daughter. One Chef even making him "bread" from pizza dough so the entire family could enjoy bread service together. For quick-service restaurants and stands, notify a Cast Member or manager of the allergy and they can help you select a safe food option. They usually have an allergy binder at the location that contains ingredient lists for options on the menu. Walt Disney World Resort will be rolling allergy-safe menus out to table-service and quick-service locations, which will be incredibly helpful in ordering safely.

My fellow panelists recommend Garden Grocers for grocery delivery services and I will be trying them on our next visit. When accommodating food allergies, I recommend bringing a special treat, such as safe chocolate or fruit snacks, to avoid disappointment if something just isn't safe. It isn't the same, but will go a long way to distract until you can find other magic in the park!

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
