I am traveling with my 4 yo daughter and 18 month old son. I was wondering if with the rider swap do you have to use it immediately or can you save it while going on a different ride then come back?

    Hi Brian!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Since I am the mom to a 4 year old son and a 2 year old son, my family uses the Rider Switch program quite a bit during our trips to Walt Disney World Resort. It is the perfect way to make sure everyone in our family can enjoy the attractions on their "must-do" list, but no one is stuck waiting in queues for attractions they will not be enjoying. When you want to use the Rider Switch program, you will want to go to the attraction queue entrance with your entire family, including the Guests who will not be riding. Let the Cast Member know that you want to use Rider Switch and then the Guests who are riding will proceed into the queue and Guests who are not riding are free to enjoy other areas of the theme parks. This is a great time to enjoy an attraction that your little one can enjoy or head to the Baby Care Center to take care of your little one's needs!

As the first riding party in your group proceeds through the attraction queue, they will be given a Rider Switch ticket which can be used by the Guest who did not ride the attraction to enjoy the attraction using the FastPass+ queue. This ticket works out really well because you are not required to immediately enjoy the attraction, but you can do so at your family's leisure. Since my little ones can be unpredictable, the flexibility to come back at any point during our day works perfectly for my family!

Please let us know if you have any other questions as you are planning your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
