Traveling with daughter and friend for birthdays. They are currently 12 soon to turn 13. Does BBB have dresses for their sizes? Also on Pirate/Pals how do we know when electric barges(?) will be seen from boat. Our trip will be 12/17-20. Thank you.

Hi, Jeanne! The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (BBB) is a great "princess makeover" experience ideally for girls around ages 3-10 years...depending on their maturity.  I have a 13-year-old daughter who loves the princesses but would feel somewhat awkward at BBB surrounded by little girls much younger. Of course, girls that age differ greatly in terms of their interests and size. Although my daughter may not enjoy the experience, it doesn't mean that other 12-13 year old's won't absolutely love it.  Yet, the princess dresses available in the parks usually only go up to an XL (child's size 14).  You can look online and get adult-sized princess costumes and bring them with you. Just make sure they are the traditional ones and not the "short-skirt" variety.

If your daughter and her friend would like to dress up as their favorite princesses, bring their costumes with you (to avoid disappointment with availability or fit), and make an appointment at one of the hair salons located at deluxe resorts. (I personally like The Ivy at The Grand Floridian!) You can get them a shampoo, up-do and maybe even a pedicure and manicure for less than the BBB would cost. Plus, the girls will feel very grown up at a real salon. You can then surprise them at a restaurant, resort room or another WDW location with a Royal Princess Proclamation.

As for the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage at The Contemporary, the Electrical Water Pageant usually can be seen nightly, but uncontrollable conditions such as weather or personnel effect whether or not the EWP will set sail. More than likely, you'll be able to see the floating parade on display for your voyage, too.

Let me know if you have more questions. I'm here to help! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
