We're traveling cross country next week with 1 day at the Disney Park. I have a 7 and almost 4 year old. We don't normally use a stroller anymore but I think my little one is going to get tired. Do you recommend bringing a stroller or renting one?

    Hi Danielle!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. A couple years back, I was traveling with my nephew who was 5 years old at the time. He was no longer using a stroller, but after a long day in the park, we found we needed a stroller around dinner time to give his little legs a rest, so I think it's great you've thought about this ahead of time!

The stroller rentals at Disneyland Resort are currently priced at $15 per day and can be used in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. If you are facing the main entrance into Disneyland Park you'll pick them up just outside the main gates on the right hand side. There are a couple things to consider with this. The pros to renting one is that it won't take up space in your car while traveling cross country and you'll only need to rent it when you need it and don't have to worry about keeping up with it all day. The con is that there is the fee to rent and if you are walking back and forth to a nearby hotel, you won't have the stroller to get you back at the end of your long day. The pro to bringing your own is you know your little one will be comfortable in their own stroller, you won't have to pay the fee and you can store stuff on it all day long.

I think I would base my decision on what stroller you have at home. We have an old umbrella stroller that has been through both my nephews and my son. It's super compact and if it gets a little beat up while we travel, it is not the end of the world. If you have something similar to this, bringing one may be a better bet. If you aren't 100% certain your little one will even need it, potentially renting is a better choice!

I hope I helped sort through which is a better option for your family! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
