We're traveling with a baby, and my oldest wants to ride Mine Trains. For Rider Switch with a FP, do I need to book a FP for each of us- me, my husband and my oldest? That way we can each ride with her while the other parent sits with the baby? thanks!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Diana! My family can’t get around the parks without combining our FastPass+ reservations and Rider Switch Service. With our young daughter not yet measuring up to many ride heights, we’ve got to swap to make it work before entertaining her on her ride of choice like Journey of the Little Mermaid and Goofy’s Barnstormer.

As you can see, families can combine these two Walt Disney World Resort services for speedy, convenient fun while on vacation with little kids, or those that are too spooked to ride Tower or Terror! My family of four sounds set up like yours. We will make 2 FastPass+ reservations for say, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (my husband and son). They will ride while I shop with baby girl, and when they are done, I can use my digital Rider Switch pass, loaded onto my MagicBand by Cast Members at the ride, in the FastPass+ queue. I’m also allowed to take a buddy with me so I don’t have to ride alone. That means my older child gets an extra ride on the attraction! It’s a great system. If you plan well with your FastPass+ reservations, you can stretch your fun further.

If I can help you with more travel tips for Preschoolers or give you insight to the new attractions in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
