We will be traveling with a baby that goes to bed at 7pm and will need a quiet, dark room. Would we be better off getting 2 adjoining rooms at an all-star resort, or would a suite somewhere like the Art of Animation work better. Any ideas?

    Hey Gregory-

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. This is a fantastic question because everyone needs a good night sleep. I have stayed at Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts. I favor these resorts over other value resorts as they are newer and have dedicated Disney bus transportation to the theme parks. A dedicated bus means less waiting with your wee one. The Disney All-Star value resorts share bus service potentially meaning longer transportation times.

At Disney’s Pop Century Resort you will enjoy nostalgia as you encounter Rubik’s cubes, bowling pins and 8-track cassette tapes. There are three pools to catch some rays. This has been our "home" many times because it is easy to maneuver, affordable and fun themed.

At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort your family can live in the world of Simba, Lightning McQueen, Ariel and Nemo. This is the newest value resort and we loved it. The Big Blue Pool is enormous, fun and adorned with a splash pad for the kids. My sons spent all day at the pool including a splash pad battle. We were in a Lion King Suite where everyone had a bed and a comfortable place to sit and eat. The kitchenette is perfect.

If giving everyone space and expense are priorities then I suggest you reserve two adjoining rooms allowing you to put your little one down in their own room. This will ensure the ideal amount of light to ease your infant to sleep. You can reserve standard rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort or in the Little Mermaid building at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The cost of two standard rooms at either of these resorts is less than one suite. If money is not an issue then a suite at Disney’s Art of Animation is not to be missed.

I hope this helps make your infants sweet dreams come true.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
