We are traveling from Art of Animation to Port Canaveral the morning of our Nov 3rd cruise. What is a safe port arrival time to choose since we don't yet know when we will be picked up by Disney? What happens if we are late for that time?

    Welcome back, Shari!

Your fall sailing with Disney Cruise Line is getting closer and closer! I'm thrilled to hear that you will be enjoying some time at the Art of Animation Resort at Walt Disney World before you set sail. It's one of our favorite resorts because my family and I love Disney's Cars, so whether we're staying in that section of the resort or not, the Cozy Cone Pool is our favorite, as is wandering the Radiator Springs area to take photos with our favorite Cars friends! Ka-Chow!

You're correct that you will not find out the exact motorcoach pick up time for embarkation morning until the night before you set sail when you'll get a notice in your resort room with time for pick up and time for luggage to be sent ahead (usually 8:00 a.m from your resort room for the luggage and between 11 and 1:30 or so for you to board the motorcoach).

When you do the online check-in for your sailing, don't worry too much about the correct Port Arrival Time that you need to choose, as Disney will be expecting you when the motorcoach arrives, no matter the time. You'll be able to go straight into the port terminal and check-in upon arrival. Just choose whichever time you'd like online. I'd opt for one around noon or 1:00 p.m., since that'll be closest to when you actually arrive. That's the nice thing about letting Disney do the driving, they take care of those arrival details for their guests, so you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride to the port!

Have such fun as you continue to plan, and stop by to see us again, Shari!
