We'll be traveling with an almost 3 yr and 6 yr and using the Magical Express transportation to and from the airport. Are carseats really not 'allowed' to be used onboard? We dont want to travel with them if they aren't necessary, but it seems odd.

    Megan,

My wife and I are the kind of parent's who would duck tape our kids into their car seats for extra safety if we wouldn't get nasty comments.

That having been said, we don't take car seats with us on our Walt Disney World vacations. We find the safety of the Magical Express bus to be more than enough.  I know there are no seat belts, but these buses are nicer, and as safe, as the school bus my first grader takes.

From that point you would never be able to use (or want to use) the seats on any of the in-resort transportation like the buses, monorails, or boats.

    BOTTOM LINE:
My opinion is that bringing car seats and booster seats for kids is just carrying extra baggage that will go unused.

FYI, let's say you decided you needed to cab somewhere? You can order a car service (like Quick Silver)  that has booster seats and car seats. It just takes some advanced planning!

    Have a magical vacation!
