Our travel dates are restricted due to working in schools, so we are planning another family trip in April 2019. We have been before in April but Easter was early that year. Next year it coincided with our April break. How much busier should we expect it?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristina!  I’ve had a few trips to Walt Disney World Resort in April, too! The crowd levels can certainly vary based on the holiday schedule as well as the runDisney calendar as the Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend typically takes place in the same month.

Whenever I’ve planning a Walt Disney World Resort trip, around a holiday or a summer trip, I always google for the Undercover Tourist Crowd Calendar. This tool is my first stop to check on crowd levels (on a scale from 1-10) for any specific date during the year. They’ve gotten it to an uncanny science, and I don’t know how they do it. I’m sure they take into consideration the festivals, events, and even crowd patterns and weather, but I find it to be weirdly accurate. You’ll see what parks to hit that day as well as the ones to avoid, so I suggest you plan your meals and FastPass+ reservations around it. If you should be an early riser, it’s best to get to the parks as early as possible. This will allow you to enjoy the parks with lower crowd levels than the afternoons, and you may even be able to fit more attractions into your day!

If I can help you with tips or tricks for any aspect of your vacation please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
