What transportation do you suggest to get to port for cruise and also from port to grand floridian. Family of 4 (boys 2yr and 4yr) in dec 2011 taking our 1st cruise! I love the panel, I read daily and u guys r so helpful!! Thank you

    Hi, Patti!

Thanks for the compliment, and I'm glad that you find the panel helpful! You have several options for getting to and from the terminal at Port Canaveral. For a family of four, the most economical way is to book Disney Cruise Line ground transportation which is about $70 per person round trip. Luggage handling is included.

For just a little more, you can have a car service meet you at baggage claim at the airport and help you with your luggage. In addition, you can have the same car pick you up at the port terminal after the cruise to take you to the Grand Floridian. I prefer a car service since you don't have to wait on others to board the bus, and you don't have to make multiple stops at other resorts. Your preference will depend upon if you want to save a little time or a little money. I would also prefer a car service with two small children since they usually come with lots of stuff, and they're not much help in carrying things. Plus, the boys may be more likely to nap in a quiet car than a loud bus on the ride to and from the port.  Once you're on Walt Disney World property, you can take a complimentary Disney's Magical Express back to the airport.

I hope that you find this answer helpful. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation.  Bon voyage!
