Is there a tour where you follow the trainer for a day. I'm a adult and would love to spend time with the flamingos. Cleaning, feeding and learning about their lives. such a program for someone who is not studying to become a vet.

Jambo, Dana! There are some fabulous backstage options for your to further your love for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park and its inhabitants.

While there isn't a trainer-shadowing tour, I can tell you about other animal experiences! I’m sure you have taken both the day and night safaris on Kilimanjaro Safaris, but if you are yearning for more, perhaps the Backstage Tales Tour is for you? You can enjoy tales and “tails” of the animals in a 3 hours and 45 minute tour, checking out the hospital, conservation center, and animal nutrition center.

If you’re after “thrilling close encounters,” the Wild Africa Trek is just the ticket. A 3-hour, privately guided trek will allow you to visit the the animals on the Safi River Valley, across grasslands, a rope bridge and even a safari vehicle on the open plains. The Wild Africa Trek includes a souvenir and complimentary photo services… I hope you have your Memory Maker ready for this photo collection!

You’ll need a park ticket for these tours, and please remember to read about the cancellation policies for each of the tours. Animal interaction opportunities are not guaranteed. For reservations for any of these enriching experiences, please call (407) WDW-TOUR and a Cast Member will assist you with reservations.

I hope that your vacation is both magical and PAW-some with your visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. ~Lindsey P.
