Hi. torn pofq &por, prefer. Travel w/mom & she will have evc, but daug is 7, concerned mult. bus stops and food for mom.  Stayed at cars suite last time. Help! Mom 65 bday want to pick best resort, maybe diff resort

    Hi Kristen,

I'm a big fan of both the Port Orleans resorts, but in your situation, I'd probably lean toward Port Orleans French Quarter. It is one of the smallest Walt Disney World resorts, so every room is relatively close to the food court, shops and the bus stop. The distance should be no more than what you experienced at Art of Animation.

Port Orleans French Quarter also has just one bus stop, which I always find appealing. Even during times when French Quarter shares buses with its sister resort, Port Orleans Riverside, the bus usually picks up and drops guests at the French Quarter resort first.

The main swimming pool at POFQ is fun, too, with its sea serpent sliding board. If your daughter wants to take advantage of the playground, pools and other recreation at the adjacent POR, that's no problem. You will have full benefits at both resorts, regardless of which one you call home during your visit.

I find the overall atmosphere of Port Orleans French Quarter very relaxing. Because it is small, it seems quieter and more intimate than other resorts. The fact that they serve fresh, hot beignets in the food court is a plus, too.

I hope that gives you a bit more information to make your decision. I think you will have a great visit, regardless of which resort you choose. Enjoy!
