Torn between the Beach Club or the Polynesian for this December. There are 5 of us, we love the Boardwalk area but have never stayed at the Poly. Any insight is appreciated

Hello Christy and thank you for bringing your Disney dilemma to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I totally understand why you are torn between the 2 beautiful Resorts of Disney's Beach Club and Disney's Polynesian Village because I adore them both too!
For me the huge positives of staying at Disney's Beach Club Resort are it's close proximity of Disney's Boardwalk area and Epcot and all the delicious dining options and entertainment venues they benefit from. Let's not forget of course that Guests staying at either Disney's Beach or Yacht Club Resorts have exclusive access to the watery paradise of Stormalong Bay.
However... Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is currently undergoing a refurbishment which I believe should be fully completed before your December arrival,
plus this totally tiki resort benefits from larger rooms than those found at Disney's Beach Club Resort. Personally I love the closeness of the Magic Kingdom Park to The Poly plus of course being situated on the handy Resort Monorail beam.
And have you heard about the newest meeting spot Trader Sam's Grog Grotto and Tiki Bar?  This island hideaway lounge bar serves snacks and amazingly named and tasting adult beverages and non-alcholholic cocktails providing a practically perfect way to end your Disney day.
I'm sure whichever Resort is finally decided upon you'll enjoy a magical December trip to Walt Disney World Resort making memories with your dear family which will last an entire lifetime.
