Hi there. I have a ton of questions but I will let you tell me the basics. We are going April 2-9 And I am so overwhelmed with all the things to do. Please help me with the basics for my Husband, 6yr. old Daughter and Myself. Many Thanks

    Hi Sue,

Hooray and the Moms will help with your planning!

Get your family involved with the planning! Go to the Disney World website and plan what you would like to see. I would start in Epcot for the first full day of touring, followed by Disney's Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom then Animal Kingdom. You will need another day at Magic Kingdom and maybe Epcot. If you want downtime at your resort, plan for it. We generally spend day one at our resort to rest from traveling and prepare for the next day.

If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you will want to pick your FastPass+ options. This will allow you to reserve times to see the most popular attractions and shows with little wait. Save your options for rides and not shows as shows have more capacity to seat guests. You will find the FastPass+ selections under My Disney Experience. Here you will want to link your park tickets and design your Magic Bands. Magic Bands will act as your room keys and can hold tickets and charging privileges depending on how you customize them.

After you pick out what items you want to do in each park, plan a sit down meal each day. We always do sit down dinners so we can relax, take a break and plan our evening. Some of our favorite restaurants are in the resorts. It is nice to head to a resort to dream about future trips and take a break from the crowds.

If you have not purchased park tickets, skip the hopper option and stay at one park for the day. This allows you to spend more time at each park and find the hidden treasures.

Finally, since everything is new, you may want to save big extras like a dinner show or a stop at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for the next trip.

Remember this is your vacation so do what you want and stick to a schedule that works best for your family. If you have more specific questions, send them separately to us and we will gladly answer them.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
