I've been told that the dining plan meals include an entree, dessert and drink. Especially for the lunch option, does the entree include a side dish? And on the kids' menus, are there choices other than the standard chicken tenders, mac & cheese, etc

    Hi Deann,

Most of the counter service entrees include a side dish, except maybe the large salads.  For example, you may find you have the choice of a wrap sandwich with french fries or apples slices, or a cheeseburger with french fries.  One choice that seems to be available at many counter services restaurants throughout WDW is the half a rotisserie chicken and small rack of ribs combo.  It even comes with mashed potatoes.  Its so large, my husband and I have been known to split it.

If you do happen to want an entree that doesn't come with a side dish, you can use a snack credit to purchase a side of fries, soup, yogurt, fruit, potato chips, etc.

The kids' menu doesn't offer as many choice as the adult menu, but its not too bad.  Each restaurant has a slightly different menu.  You will see items like chicken nuggets, hamburgers, peanut butter and jelly, grilled chicken breast, small ceaser salad, cold cut sandwiches, wrap sandwiches cut into pinwheels, etc.  I like that the food isn't overall greasy and you can get fruit and applesauce as your side dishes.

Hope that helps.  I think you will find the dining plan to be very flexible and convenient.

    Enjoy your trip
