I have been told that AP holders can now go to any guest relations and upgrade to a RFID card instead of carrying the paper ticket. Is this true and what is a RFID card? Is it a hard ticket instead of the current paper ticket? Thanks for your time.

    Hi Jerry,

I upgraded my Annual Pass last month while in Epcot and yes, you can now have this done at any Guest Relations at the parks. The new RFID card resembles a Key To The World Card in size. It is hard plastic and contains a radio frequency code inside. When I was there I was able to choose from Mickey, Minnie, Donald or Goofy on the front of my Annual Pass. You'll be able to use your new RFID card at the touch points to enter into the parks now, instead of having to wait in line at the turnstiles to insert your paper ticket into the reader. As I mentioned above, I used my upgraded Annual Pass on my last trip and the line to enter went much quicker for those of us who simply had to tap our pass.

If you have further questions about this I am happy to help. Simply send me a follow up question.

    Have a wonderful day,
