what is there to do for toddlers?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Laura! You’re as welcome as can be to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

As the mom of three Mouseketeers under the age of 8, I’m happy to report that there are tons of fun ways to experience the Disneyland Resort with toddlers! For starters, here’s a handy guide for visiting the Happiest Place on Earth with preschoolers. To help you discover which attractions your toddler will be able to experience, check out the Attractions page, then filter it by the height of your little Mouseketeer (under the Height tab) or by “Preschoolers” (under the Age Interest tab). I searched under “Preschoolers,” and 47 attractions currently fit that category. In Disneyland Park, some of my toddler’s favorite attractions are “it’s a small world,” Astro Orbitor, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and Mad Tea Party. At Disney California Adventure Park, my toddler adores Toy Story Midway Mania!, Jessie’s Critter Carousel, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Golden Zephyr, and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree.

There are also some wonderful Entertainment options designed just for the toddler crowd! My children all love Disney Junior Dance Party! in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure Park. This high-energy show features favorite Disney Junior Characters, including Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, Timon, and even Mickey and Minnie Mouse! Kids are welcome to get up and dance and sing along with their favorite Disney Junior songs too, which is a great way to get the wiggles out! It’s also ideal for parents who may want to sit down and enjoy some air-conditioning!

Speaking of sitting down, when my troop needs a break to rest our feet, we also enjoy hopping aboard the Disneyland Railroad or the Disneyland Monorail for a scenic ride. This is a great way to experience the park while sitting back and relaxing!

The Disneyland Resort has truly thought of everything when it comes to experiencing the parks with toddlers… including special Baby Care Centers designed just for them! There’s a Center in each park, and they’re the perfect spot to feed or change your little one. There are even tiny toilets that are perfect for potty-training! Also, should you need a rental stroller or locker, you can find both at the Disneyland Resort!

I hope this helps you navigate the parks more easily with your toddler. I can’t wait for you to experience the fun and magic of the Disneyland Resort with your little one, Laura!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
