Hello! Any tips and tricks for taking a 6 month old?!

    Hi there, April!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so excited you plan on introducing your little one to the magic of a Disneyland Resort vacation. I'd love to give you some of my personal tips we used for my son when we took him as an infant.

First, make sure you locate the Baby Care Centers in each park so you can use these throughout your days to privately feed and change your little one. These centers are also stocked with some essentials like diapers, wipes, pacifiers, and sunscreen. I also think a stroller for your infant is mandatory whether you bring your own or rent one from the Disneyland Resort. While some Guests are content using only a body carrier for their infant, I find these can be very hot for you and your baby if worn for an entire day. Having our son nap in the stroller also made it easier for us to take turns enjoying more thrilling attractions using the amazing Rider Switch Service. This service allows you and another adult to take turns waiting with little ones so you won't miss out on any of the fun on attractions with a height requirement your child does not meet.

When it comes to attractions, infants can ride on any attraction that does not have a posted height requirement. My son as a baby loved Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan's Flight, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure, and "it's a small world" to name just a few.

In your diaper bag or backpack, don't for get your diapering and feeding essentials as well as plenty of sunscreen and a change of clothes. I also suggest some noise-cancelling ear muffs. We used these for my son when he fell asleep, and he didn't even flinch when fireworks were going off right above him.

I hope this helps. Have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah day!
