Would like some tips on taking a child under 2 to the parks ie. what to bring, rides, transportation etc.

    Hi Rachelle,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you are bringing your little one to the Walt Disney World Resort. Once you get there, you will appreciate your early planning!

Certainly, you may want to bring a car seat with you. Although your child will not need a car seat on Walt Disney World transportation, she or he may need it should you take a taxi or Uber at any point during your trip. Definitely bring those special stuffed animals that your child will need for naptime. Since we typically fly, I always packed a small backpack for each girl filled with toys to entertain them on the plane.

Of course, we always bring snacks that we can pack in a suitcase. Since our girls have asthma, I also always bring their asthma medication and other over the counter medications (fever reducing medicine, some sort of anti-itch cream, insect repellent and sunscreen).

For little ones, Magic Kingdom is a fantastic park because there are so many attractions that children can enjoy. Take a look at the Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones guide. It will list experiences suitable for your little one.

Rachelle, consider whether you will bring your own stroller or rent one. If you rent one, I suggest you use one of the Disney Featured Providers and have it delivered to your resort hotel. Remember to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers in each park. These are quiet places to rest and they also sell a few assorted items in case you forgot something. There are a variety of Resort Transportation options. Our favorite is the resort monorail!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
