Any tips or suggestions for traveling to Disney World with a large group. We will be visiting Florida in January with 8 adults, 8 kids (ages 5-12) & a new born.

    Hi Samantha!

Walt Disney World is the best vacation destination for all generations making it so popular for family and friend reunions. My own family has been going for the last 36 years so I have experience planning for 16!

The first thing you need to do is to make sure everyone has a My Disney Experience account set up and then link everyone so one person can be able to make fastpasses and other plans for the group.

Dining is crucial for a large group and if you plan on any table service meals you must get reservations as soon as possible. For large groups I recommend calling since they can help with the table grouping. Many times restaurants will only allow the number of guests that their largest table seats to book on line. By calling they can help you book for the group but understand that you will likely have several tables. Do not fret over that as 16 persons cannot possibly talk with each other at one long table while smaller tables allow better conversation.

Probably the most difficult part of the planning will be reserving the FastPasses for the group. If everyone wishes to be together for the most part it is a bit easier but if everyone wants to break away and do their own thing then I suggest they book their own. In our family we have some kids who wish to do the roller coasters while others are not tall enough so I have to plan different FastPasses at the same time.

Now is the time that everyone take a look at the different parks and different attractions and send you a list of their top three or four choices. Then the planner begins to put together the puzzle to please each person. Be aware of your date that you can make the Fastpass selections and be on line that morning at 7am eastern time.

I have so many more hints!
