Do you have tips for a Disneyland vacation without a car? I've noticed there isn't a Magic Express for Disneyland. Are there any hotels that provide transportation to and from both the parks and any of the airports?

    Hey Samantha!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You’re going to love your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!

I see you’re getting ready for your vacation to the Disneyland Resort. I bet you have visited Walt Disney World and have used the Magical Express. While the Disneyland Resort does not offer a shuttle service from the airport to the resort, you do have some options available. If possible, I would recommend flying into John Wayne Airport. It’s about 20 minutes from the Disneyland Resort and would be a very quick Uber or Lyft ride. Even if you fly into LAX, as most people do, Uber or Lyft is still going to be my number one choice for getting from the airport to the resort. When I visit Walt Disney World, I often choose Uber or Lyft to get where I need to go over the bus transportation. If Uber or Lyft isn’t your thing you can always schedule a private pickup from a shuttle, limo or luxury SUV. There are many companies out there to provide this service for you.

You’ll be happy to hear that you won’t really need transportation from hotels to the parks or between the parks. Everything at the Disneyland Resort is within walking distance. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are only a few minutes away from each other when walking. It makes Park Hopping a breeze! The closest Hotel is Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It has a direct entrance into Disney California Adventure Park, which no other Disney park in the US has. It’s about a 5 minute walk to Disneyland Park. Next up is the majestical Disneyland Hotel. You’ll love the classic Disneyland Park feel and it's only about an 8-10 minute walk from the park gates. The farthest Disney hotel is Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. You’ll love the relaxed beachy atmosphere and it’s only a 12-15 minute walk from the park gates. I love all three of them and anyone of them makes for a quick walk to all the action. If you’re not looking to stay on property you can also take a look at the Good Neighbor Hotels. Some of them do offer a complimentary shuttle to the parks.

Well Samantha, I hope you found this information useful and if you have any more questions for us please let us know!

Remember, always believe in the magic!
