Any tips on dining without a dining plan, I booked through Expedia

    Hi Nicole,

While the Disney Dining Plan is convenient, it is definitely not a necessity. You'll still be able to thoroughly enjoy your vacation with it!

You'll want to browse Disney's Restaurants and find some Table Service options that look interesting to you. Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-DINE or by booking online. It doesn't matter if you have the dining plan or not...all guests are treated equally when making their reservations. Due to the popularity of Disney restaurants, reservations are strongly recommended.

Essentially the Dining Plan allows guests to "pre-pay" (as part of the package) for their meals. They have an allotted amount of meals to consume during their vacation. I've vacationed many times with and without the Dining Plan. My husband and I have found that we tend to eat more (too much), when we have the plan because we feel like we need to get our monies worth. Without the plan, you will have a lot more flexibility.

As you are looking at your dining options, I highly recommend that you try to plan for one Table Service meal per day. This will allow you to sit down and relax in an air conditioned environment, recap the highlights of your day, talk about your favorite memories and enjoy delicious food.

If you would like some input regarding my favorite restaurants on property, please send me a follow up question. I'd love to help you plan!

    Have a wonderful vacation,
