    Christie from TN Asked

1st time visiting during Christmas. In the event of parks reaching capacity, will buses stop service from resorts? What is the best way to find out about park closures for this reason? Worry about arriving later in the day only to find park closed. Thanks!

    Hi Christie!

This is a great question. It has been my experience that some of the resorts will post a sign while others will have a Disney Cast Member at the bus stop, boat launch, etc informing guests. If by some chance there is nothing or nobody there, the bus driver will usually say something.

The parks close due to capacity in stages. The first stage is basically closing the park to off duty Disney Cast Members. In a middle stage, the parking lots close.  In the final stage, a park is closed to everybody including guests staying in a Disney owned and operated hotel.

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
