We want to make the most of our time on property at WDW. Our arrival is around 2 pm. Considering evening extra magic hours on our date of arrival, can we make most of the attractions at EPCOT in that amount of time? Other partial day park suggestions?

    Hi Karen,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love that you want to make the most of your time at Walt Disney World. Every moment is magic.

It’s great that you’re starting your thinking around Epcot. Arriving around 2 p.m. and planning to stay through Extra Magic Hours — typically from 9 p.m  to 11 p.m. — gives you much to enjoy for that stay in the park.

My first suggestion is to note which of the many attractions are open during evening Extra Magic Hours and save them to enjoy at that time. Frozen Ever After, Soarin', and Test Track are popular attractions, and enjoying them during Extra Magic Hours is a great idea. These attractions, in addition to IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, are available as selections with FastPass+. If you can make a FastPass+ selection, even better. Keep in mind that Test Track offers a single-rider line, so that’s another option to consider.

You’ll want to set aside time for IllumiNations at 9 p.m. It's one of my most favorite nighttime spectaculars. You’ll also want to give yourself plenty of time to stroll and savor all the countries in the World Showcase. My favorite time to walk the World Showcase and wander among the shops and eateries of the different countries is in the afternoon when you can see it all, explore it all, and take it all in.

You'll definitely be able to make the most of your day at Epcot, but do allow time just to meander and experience all that there is to engage you.
