Is there a time limit on date of purchase to date of activation for Disneyland/DCA annual passes? We will buy passes but take our kids one at a time, so the last kiddo's pass won't be activated until 5 months after purchase.

    Hi there, Sara!

Welcome, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Hooray--your family is on the way to enjoying a year full of magical visits to the Disneyland Resort with the purchase of Annual Passports! I’ve enjoyed the benefits of being a Passholder for over a decade because it’s the best way to experience as much theme park fun as possible with my family and friends.

If you purchase your passes online, bring your printed eTickets to the park or they can be scanned from a mobile device. You’ll each be given a physical Annual Passport card that becomes active on that first day it is used to enter Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, even if it’s weeks or months after your initial online purchase. You generally have up to a year to activate your Annual Passport, but if it’s not activated in that time for some reason, you can still use the amount paid for it as credit to purchase a new pass. If you want to verify your expiration date or view the details of your Annual Passport after it’s active, sign in to your account on disneyland.com and then visit Annual Passholders Today. You can also call (714) 781-PASS (7277) for further assistance or clarification.

I hope this information is helpful, Sara, and that your family makes many pixie-dusted memories together! If you have any other questions about the Happiest Place on Earth, please feel free to send them our way.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
