Walt Disney World Halloween

What time will I have to leave the park if I don't have tickets to the NSSHP? What if I have dinner reservations for 6:50 but am not attending the party?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jon!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite annual traditions at Walt Disney World Resort. For Guests who will be visiting Magic Kingdom Park for the day (but won’t be staying for the Party), the Park will close at 6 p.m. (although the Party officially begins at 7 p.m.). As long as your reservation was made through the “regular” Dining Reservations page (and begins prior to 7 p.m.) you should be fine. If you make a dining reservation during the official Halloween Party hours, you will need a Party ticket to keep your reservation (and should need one to make the reservation in the first place).

If you’d like to spend time in the Park after dinner, I would see if you could move your reservation to earlier that evening. Even if your dinner extends past closing, though, as long as you’re seated before the Park closes to day Guests you’ll be able to enjoy your dinner at a leisurely pace. My husband and I experienced a similar situation when our anniversary dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant began prior to Magic Kingdom Park’s closing but did not end until after Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party began. Since we did not have Party tickets that evening, we were escorted to the exit at the front of the Park by a Cast Member once we’d finished dinner.

If you have the opportunity to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Jon, I highly recommend it. While Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party definitely holds a special place in my heart, I love the treats, stage show, special fireworks and Mickey’s Boo To You! Halloween Parade. It’s a frightfully good time!

    Best wishes,
    Amy
