How much time does the Jedi Training take? How far in advance of the showtime do the kids have to be there? Thanks!

    Hey, Susanne!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. There has been an awakening. Have you felt it? Do you have a Force-sensitive child yearning to learn more about the Force? Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple takes you to a galaxy far, far away for adventure, excitement, lightsabers, Sith Lords and Jedi victories.

If your padawan is ready to battle the Dark Side then hop on your transport and arrive at the gates of Disney’s Hollywood Studios 30 minutes before you will be allowed in the theme park. This includes Morning Extra Magic Hours. Sign ups for Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple take place at the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost. Each of the 20 daily shows takes around 30 younglings. If you have FastPass+ or dining reservations let the Cast Member know and request a training time that works with your plans.

A parent and padawan must be together to sign up for training. Even though the show is about 25 minutes please budget 60 minutes. Parents do not need to accompany their children after they arrive at the pre-show location 30 minutes before showtime. A Jedi Master will lead them to the Temple. Ask a Jedi where the best viewing spot is at the show site. Being closer to the “Temple” training site will get you the best pictures and video.

During crowded seasons, these training spots will fill fast. Plan Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple for early to mid-afternoon to allow you to enjoy a morning of attractions and the ability to get more FastPass+ reservations for later in the day.

Disney Dad Tip: Make sure to visit all the Star Wars attractions at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Susanne, may the Force be with you.
