Is there time to eat a sit down meal at MCO before catching the magical express to the world? If booking a reservation at Trail's End instead, how long do we give ourselves to get from the airport (will arrive to MCO President's day at 4:30 pm)? Thanks!

    Hi Heather,

Based on my experience, I would say that you should count on at least two hours between when you land and when you arrive at your Walt Disney World resort via Magical Express.  The two hours also assumes that you are going to let Magical Express pick up your luggage as opposed to you standing around the carousel waiting for it yourself.  If you wait for your own luggage, then the two hours doesn't start until you have all of your luggage and are proceeding towards the Magical Express check-in.

If you're staying at Fort Wilderness and you're letting Magical Express get your luggage, then I suggest making a dining reservation for 7:00 at Trail's End.  That will give you time to check-in and board the internal bus.  If you are staying anywhere else, then you need to add transit time.  If you're going to Fort Wilderness by taxi, then I think you can get there by 7:30.  If you're going to try going from your resort hotel via Disney Transportation to a central location, such as a theme park or Downtown Disney, then I suggest making it for sometime between 8:00 and 8:30, depending on how lucky you feel.  If I was staying somewhere else and didn't want to take a taxi, I would be tempted to make the reservation for 8:00 and take the a bus from my hotel to the Magic Kingdom and then switch to a boat to Fort Wilderness; at least the boat ride will be relaxing.

Good luck and I hope you have a magical vacation!
