1st time to Disney, 2yo son, want to do highlights at the MK, AK and Epcot. Planning a 3 day stay for x-mas and would also like to catch any holiday festivities. Which resort is convenient to those parks? Recs for 2yo? Tips for crowds? Must sees for xmas?

    Hi Michelle!

Any Walt Disney World Resort would be a great location for visiting those parks.  Without knowing your budget, I'd like to suggest the new Art of Animation resort.  They have family suites as well as standard rooms and is pretty centrally located to all three of your desired parks.  Port Orleans, either Riverside or French Quarter, is a great moderate resort.  If you are looking into deluxe resorts, I highly suggest one on the monorail line, like the Polynesian or the Contemporary.  You are just a monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom and Epcot and you can take a bus ride over to Animal Kingdom.

My biggest tip for navigating during crowded seasons is to have a plan.  Know the attractions that are "must-do's" for your family.  With a 2 year old, I think the Magic Kingdom is the best park with the most attractions suited to his age.  My 4 and 1 year old's love this park because they can ride almost everything, with the exception of the roller coasters.

Magic Kingdom is on my must-see list for Christmas.  The decorations are beautiful and really puts me in the holiday spirit.  You can also see some fun holiday things at Downtown Disney, including meeting Santa Goofy during the Festival of the Seasons.  Epcot hosts a variety of holiday events, including the Candlelight Processional, which is just amazing.

    Have a magical day!
