    Judy from IL Asked

what time is the cinderella's castle lighting ceremony on December 18-20 and what is the best place to see it? Thanks so much!

    Hi Judy,

The lighting of Cinderella's Castle is truly breath-taking and worth taking the moment to stop and enjoy.  The lighting has often been anywhere from 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm; however, I'd check with a cast member or at Guest Relations at the Magic Kingdom to confirm the time just in case it is at a different time this year. I'd hate to have you miss it.

As for watching it, I'm partial to the hub area -- the large circle in front of the castle where a statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse are located, but truly anywhere in front of the castle where the view is unobstructed are wonderful and just as magical.  I'm going to attach a video of some of my favorite spots to watch Wishes (the fireworks) to get an idea of what those areas will look like.

Have a wonderful trip and thank you for visiting the Moms Panel. Please let us know if we can help again.
