How much time should be allowed for character meals? We have booked breakfasts at Aherhous, Tusker, and the crystal palace and lunch at Hollywood and vine.

    Hello Janice!
We absolutely LOVE character dining. Even with my youngest being 15, we still do at least one every trip. Disney has mastered the art of preparing and serving delicious food quickly and effortlessly, especially at venues geared toward children. So, the actual obtaining your food and eating at character meals is pretty fast. However, you the pacing of the characters is what is a bit unpredictable. With that said, we have never had to spend more than an hour at a character dining experience.  I hope that helps with your planning.

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
