How much time should we allow to get from MK to Poly and GF via the monrail for ADR's?

    Hi Tricia,

The monorail ride from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Polynesian and Disney's Grand Floridian Resorts is fun and should take you only fifteen to twenty minutes.  (The monorail makes stops at Disney's Contemporary Resort and the Ticket & Transportation Center before it arrives at the Polynesian.  The next stop after the Polynesian is the Grand Floridian).  It's always a good idea, though, to give yourself a little extra time to reach your destination in case you have to wait a few minutes for the next monorail.  Overall, I would leave yourself at least thirty minutes to travel from the Magic Kingdom to your restaurant.

Another good option to consider is to take a resort boat from the Magic Kingdom directly to Disney's Grand Floridian and Polynesian Resorts.  This eliminates the need to stop at the Contemporary and Ticket & Transportation Center.  I estimate this option will get you there a few minutes faster.

Wishing you a magical day in the Magic Kingdom area of Walt Disney World!
