How much time must I allow between my flight landing and a dining reservation at Boma?

    Hi Cassandra!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so happy to hear that you are planning on enjoying Boma - Flavors of Africa during your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Whether you are visiting for breakfast or dinner, this buffet-style restaurant is one of my favorite dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort. You will enjoy a wide variety of dishes during your visit because this buffet includes both African flavors and flavors that are more familiar to the American palette. Plus, the restaurant's selection of sweets is incredible!

I like to give my family plenty of time at the start of vacation so we don't feel rushed getting to the first thing on our itinerary. If you will be traveling from Orlando International Airport using Disney's Magical Express, I recommend that you give yourself at least three hours between your scheduled flight arrival time and the time of your arrival at your Disney Resort hotel. This will ensure you have plenty of time to get through the airport, board your bus, travel to Walt Disney World Resort and make potential stops at other Disney Resort hotels before arriving at your vacation "home". Keep in mind that if you are using Disney's Magical Express and you are not staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, then you will need to plan an additional hour to travel between your hotel and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge before your reservation at Boma - Flavors of Africa.

If you will be using an alternate transportation option, such as a rental car or a car service to get from Orlando International Airport to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, then I recommend that you allow two to three hours between your flight arrival time and your reservation so you have plenty of time to make it to your meal. If you happen to arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge early, you can always ask the restaurant if they can accommodate you early. The restaurant is very large and in my experience, Boma - Flavors of Africa has often been able to get us in early if we are running ahead of schedule.

Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about new things headed to the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs as you continue planning your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
