Hi Karen,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!
I always recommend that Guests who plan to visit Walt Disney World Resort purchase their
Theme Park Tickets online, before their visit, rather than at Guest Relations the day that they arrive. First, there are often
Special Offers and other promotions associated with online ticket purchases, which is always helpful for a vacation budget! As an example, a few months ago, there was a special Canadian Resident ticket offer that allowed Canadians to receive a pretty significant discount on select Multi-Day Tickets, if they purchased them online.
Second, purchasing your tickets in advance should help you avoid long lineups at
Guest Relations (that is, the ticket booth), which only delays the start of your Disney Day!
Third, and most importantly, if you purchase your Theme Park Tickets online, you’ll then be able to link each ticket to your family’s My Disney Experience account(s). Once they’ve been linked, you’ll be able to use these tickets to make and manage your family’s
FastPass+ selections, which you can start choosing up to 60 days prior to your arrival if you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, or up to 30 days prior to your visit if you’re not.
In short, even if there is no discount associated with purchasing Theme Park Tickets online, there are so many other advantages that it would be a shame to leave it to the last minute!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
