We have tickets to MVMCP... It is my understanding that even though I do not have a park hopper, we can go to AK during the day and then to MK at 7:00 for the party? Can I get FP+ tickets at AK AND MK for that night with the separate ticket?

Hello Amanda!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I just love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and I think you will too.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a separate ticket event.  This means that you are able to use your standard base ticket for whichever park you choose during the day and then you will need to use your party ticket to be admitted into Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  You will be able to make FastPass+ selection for whichever park you decide to visit during the day.  However, FastPass+ selections are not available during the party.  Because it is a separate ticket event, crowds tend to be much lower.  During the party last year, I was able to walk on most of my favorite attractions with little to no wait time.  Something I do want to mention is that even though Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party officially starts at 7:00 p.m., you can enter Magic Kingdom with your party ticket as early as 4:00 p.m.  This is a great way to squeeze in a few more rides or character meet and greets.

I hope this helps clear up some confusion.  If you have any other questions before your upcoming vacation, I'd love to help.  If I don't talk to you before you leave, have a magical vacation and a very Merry Christmas!
