We have tickets to MNSSHP and plan on spending the entire day at Magic Kingdom. Can we wear our costumes all day or do we have to bring them with us and change after 4:00 p.m.?

Greetings, John, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a fun way to spend your spooky nights and live out your costume dreams! My kids and I went this year as Cheshire Cat, Alice and the White Rabbit, having a great time enjoying the short ride lines, and other party perks.

I’m so glad you asked about costumes and the changeover during the day. Guests under age 14 are welcome to wear costumes throughout the day, such as pirate gear, princess dresses and accessories, but guests 14 and up may not. Adults can Disneybound and wear park T-shirts. I often wear my red leggings with white dots to #RockTheDots like Minnie Mouse, complete with ears headband! You can bring your costumes and face paint in a bag and easily store it in a locker just outside the tunnel at the front of Magic Kingdom. When you see the Cast Members clad in Halloween apparel (including fun bat headbands and plaid pinafores) you can change into your costume and check into the Halloween party. There is a separate check in at Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin for guests who are already inside the park.

When I’m packing my costume into my suitcase, I like to review guidelines for costumes, and the Disney Parks Blog made it very easy with this new animated short that shows you what costumes you can bring, like face paint, wigs, and more. Have a frightfully good time, and may a ghost follow you home! ~ Lindsey P.
