We have tickets to MNSSHP in October, but my special needs 12 y.o. hates fireworks and doesn't even want to see them. If we scheduled a meal at a MK restaurant during the show, would we still hear the fireworks? Which would be the best choice?

    Hi Jennifer!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a great way to kick-start the Fall!  Many children with special needs would rather bypass the fireworks.  My son was one of them when he was small.  Planning a well-timed dinner during the show is a great way to avoid the noise, enjoy a great meal, and then head back for some more trick-or-treating Mickey-style!  The fireworks are loud, and you may hear some "popping and cracking" inside a restaurant, but it won't be nearly as intense as if you were standing on Main Street or anywhere outside in the park.  If I had to vote, I'd say that Liberty Tree Tavern is probably your best bet for the "quietest" table-service restaurant during the fireworks.

I hope your son has a trip as magical as he is!
