We have tickets for Mickey's Christmas Party on December 5th. Also have reservations for dinner at Liberty Tavern at 2:40. What's the best way to get the most out our experience. We are a party of 6 adults, a 12 year old and a 3 month old.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Colleen ~

It sounds like you are planning a fabulous day and evening at the Magic Kingdom (MK)! I am not sure if this will be your only day during your trip you spend at the MK or not. Keep in mind that because you will be entering the MK prior to 4 p.m. on the day you are attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP), you will need a regular theme park admission ticket to enter earlier. You should be able to pick up your wrist bands for MVMCP near the front of the park beginning at 4 p.m. That way you won't have to exit and re-enter at 7 p.m.

I would focus on your "must dos" that are always offered at the MK during the day and concentrate on the special activities offered at MVMCP that evening. Be sure to use Disney FastPass+ service during the day to help you move and groove. Let the 12 year old have some input on your "must dos" during the day and do those first.

Before MVMCP begins, head towards the special character meet and greets locations. There are locations spread throughout the park. Those lines will get long pretty fast. Stake out a good spot in the Central Plaza or Main Street, U.S.A. for Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, Celebrate the Magic, and Holiday Wishes - Celebrate the Spirit of the Season. If you get a good spot, you can see all three without moving - just make sure you have a clear view of the castle. However, it is generally easier to get a good spot for the second parade.

Lines for attractions during MVMCP start to get shorter towards the end. Keep in mind that there are limited choices for food during MVMCP and plan ahead. Take advantage of Disney PhotoPass photographers. They have the perfect camera settings to get amazing pictures of Cinderella Castle.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison V.
