    Ron Asked

I have 3 tickets (DW + DS14 + me) for La Nouba in August for the 6:00 show on a Friday. Do you have any suggestions for dinner reservations (time and place) for that day? Also, will we have any issues getting there with the construction of Disney Springs?

    Hey Ron!

I absolutely love La Nouba! I'm guessing that I've seen the show at least a half-dozen times and I wouldn't hesitate to see it another half-dozen times. It's an incredible performance!

Great question about scoring dinner reservations. If you'd want to eat dinner before the show, I would make sure you still arrive at the theater at least a half-hour before the show is scheduled to begin. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but trust me; it'll be worth showing up early.

If you'd rather eat dinner after the show, I'd plan to be walking out of the theater about 2 hours after the start of the show (the show lasts about 90 minutes, but there's an intermission).

That being said, you may want to consider getting a dinner reservation at either 4:30 or 8:30 and I'd stick to one of the restaurants near the theater (e.g. Bongos Cuban Cafe, Crossroads at House of Blues, Planet Hollywood, or Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe). Personally, I don't like to rush when I'm on vacation so that's why I'd prefer to choose from the restaurants near the theater.

While I love all of the restaurants in the Downtown Disney Area, if I were in your shoes, I'd snag a reservation at Crossroads at House of Blues.  Not only is it right next to the La Nouba theater, but it's got a cool vibe and the menu has something for everyone. (Don't forget to stop by their gift shop as well because they have a bunch of fun and funky souvenirs.)

As for your question about the construction, I wouldn't worry about it because it's my understanding that the Disney Springs project won't be impacting the part of Downtown Disney where the La Nouba theater is located. So, you should be fine.

I hope that helps! If you should have any other questions as you finalize your vacation plans, feel free to send them my way and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
