My D11 and I are thrill chickens. We rode TOT last time we were there and before we knew what it was -- it was TERRIFYING not fun. I've done Space Mountain and survived, but how does Expedition Everest Compare? I heard the drop was less than SM.

Hi Jen! I'm the resident chicken on the Moms Panel, and I completely understand your feeling that Tower of Terror is not fun, as I hate drops too. Girl, Space Mountain is a kiddie coaster compared to Expedition Everest! The drops in Space Mountain may seem big because you can't see them in the darkness, but they're actually quite small and definitely smaller than the drops on Everest. My family just finished a week-long vacation at Walt Disney World, and my sister rode Expedition Everest for the first time. She swore the coaster went upside down -- it doesn't, but there is a backwards drop that makes you feel that way. The big drop on Everest is approximately 80 feet long, more than twice the size of the one on Space Mountain.

With all that being said, Expedition Everest is a totally different ride than Tower of Terror, and if you enjoyed Space Mountain, you may like it. My 10-year-old son is a thrill-seeker who loves roller coasters, but he is not a fan of Tower of Terror. If you search a site like YouTube.com for Expedition Everest, you can watch videos that other guests filmed of the ride to help you decide if you'd like to brave it.

Hope this helps! Visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
