Going three days in Sept, visit two parks. Have 9 year old girl. Which two parks would be best? How does fastpass+ work? Looks like 3 in advance, then reserve more after you've used the three? Realistically, how many more can you get after the first 3?

Hi, Ozzie!  Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

You're less than a month away from your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth; how exciting!  When deciding which Walt Disney World Resort theme parks to visit, it's really a matter of personal preference.  My best advice to you is to do some resEARch before your trip.  Take a look at the lists of attractions and entertainment offerings on the Walt Disney World website to see which parks have the most activities that appeal to your family.  My kiddos are just a couple of years older than your daughter.  While they love all of the theme parks, their favorites would probably be Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

FastPass+ is a service that will really help you make the most out of your time in the theme parks.  You may make three FastPass+ selections in advance for each day you will be visiting a Walt Disney World theme park.  These three selections can be made 60 days in advance if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or 30 days prior to your arrival if you are staying elsewhere.  Since you are within 30 days of your trip, you will want to make your FastPass+ selections as soon as possible.  You can make your FastPass+ selections using your My Disney Experience account on your computer or via the mobile app.

Once you have used your three FastPass+ selections that you made in advance, you may select additional FastPass+ experiences, one-at-a-time and subject to availability.  These additional selections can be made using your My Disney Experience mobile app or at any of the FastPass+ kiosks conveniently located throughout the theme parks.  I have found that while you may not be able to snag an additional FastPass+ for the most popular attractions, there are usually quite a few experiences to pick from.  This is especially true at Magic Kingdom Park, which is the theme park that has the most FastPass+ attractions.  FastPass+ availability tends to decrease as the day goes on.  Therefore, in order to have the best selection of additional FastPass+ experiences, I like to make my three original FastPass+ selections for early in the day.
