What are you thoughts on shipping your clothes and other items directly to the resort you will be staying at?

Hi Teresa! I have successfully shipped things to my resort in the past. It is important to time it well so that you are not shipping too early. That is when boxes can get lost and misplaced. Try to ship no more that one week from your arrival date. Most shipping companies will take only a few days to reach Walt Disney World. Address any box to yourself using the name that the resort reservation is under. Address as following example shows.

    Reservation Name
    Date of arrival
    Resort Name
Resort address (you can find each resort's address under the specific resort information on the Disney website, www.disneyworld.com)

Upon check-in please ask the cast member to check for packages that should be there for you. Most of the time it is noted on your reservation if something is waiting for you. You can then have the bell services staff help you to your room with the box.

I would always hope for the absolute best and prepare for the worst. Meaning, I would also bring some clothes along with you so you have some sort of back up in case a box is lost. This has never happened to me at Walt Disney World but the reality of the possibility makes me have back up plans for whatever it is I shipped.
