    Third time submitting questions to this panel, it is a life saver, I love it!!! We are going to Disney Dec 5-13 and staying at pop century we decided to stay here and add days allowing us to stay longer. I was wondering if renting a car is the best option;

    Hi Maria,

    I think you made a wise choice in your decision to downgrade a little with your WDW Resort accommodations to add extra days to your vacation.  That would be my choice as well when on a budget and more days is definitely an added bonus as most people don't spend much time at the resort but rather touring the Parks, Downtown Disney, etc....

    On to the rental car...I am a firm believer in needing a rental car when in Walt Disney World.  The time saved driving ourselves to all the attractions instead of taking the buses I think adds a whole lot of more time to enjoy our days to the fullest.  If you do some shopping around a bit ahead of time, you should be able to find some quite reasonable car rental prices for your trip (I like to use Orbitz......I always find the best deals through this website and I don't need to guarantee my reservation with any form of payment beforehand).  Another added bonus to having a rental car is that you get complimentary parking at all of the Parks when you are staying in a WDW Resort (which you are).  There is also large signs everywhere that make it quite simple for directions on places you would like to visit within Walt Disney World and the surrounding areas as well.  I also love the fact that we are free to go when and where we would like, including a grocery store for those must have grocery items during our stay!  I hope this helps with your decision and remember that this is what works best for my family but may not be the case for yours (a lot of guests do prefer the complimentary transportation provided by WDW instead of having a rental car).  Have a magical trip!

    Best wishes,
