Hello! Thinking of visiting CA the week of Dec 20-27 with 3 or 4 days for Disneyland.Family of 4, kids 15 and 7(first time). I have been with my 15 in 2006 during spring break. How do the crowds compare? Worried the crowds of Christmas would ruin the trip.

    Hello Jennifer!

We love to visit The Happiest Place on Earth during the Holidays. Although this week tends to be heavier with crowds, keep in mind the park operating hours are extended so you'll have more time to experience the "must-dos" on your list.

Disneyland Park is adorned with festive decor to create a winter wonderland on Main Street U.S.A. down to Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle. Be sure to check out the The Haunted Mansion Holiday and "it's a small world" Holiday attractions, they are a must-see during the holidays! Visit before your trip to pick out your family's must-see shows and attractions for each park.

If you're staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you can utilize the "Extra Magic" hour to enter the park one hour early. Those bearing multi-day passes that include Magic Morning (it's stated on the ticket) will also be able to use the "Extra Magic" hour. Be sure to use Disney’s FASTPASS service when available to optimize your time.

I hope this helps and that you have a magical vacation.
