We are thinking of trying a Disney cruise out of NYC next year. If we decide not to go to the formal and semi formal dinner nights will you still have the chance to be in every dining room at some point? I don't want to miss any of the rooms.

    Hi, Debra!

Taking a Disney cruise out of New York City is a dream of mine, too. I'm thrilled that you're considering it for next year.

If you're thinking of skipping out on formal and semi-formal nights, you're probably eye-ing the 7+-night itineraries on the Disney Magic. More than likely, you'll be able to experience each of the three main dinner restaurants (at least once) for the other 5 or more evenings. If I had to rank them, my favorite is Animator's Palate -- followed by Lumiere's and Parrot Cay.

However, let me encourage you to pack a few fancy duds and try out Palo for dinner or brunch. Ladies can wear a pantsuit or dress, and gentlemen are required to wear a sport coat or dinner jacket. You're not going to want to miss an experience at Palo!

I hope that helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
