I am thinking about trying to do a character breakfast on the day we fly home. I was thinking an 8am breakfast but am concerned about catching a noon flight. I want to plan SOMETHING for the kids to do because I know they will get antsy before our flights

    Hello, Rachel,

I think your plans to make the last morning while you are at Walt Disney World are admirable, so I hate to be the bearer of bad news.  If you are using Disney's Magical Express, I don't think you'll have time for a character breakfast.  With a 12:00 pm flight, Disney's Magical Express will pick you up 3 hours before your flight, so you'll want to be ready to go by 8:45 am in case it arrives early.

As an alternative, could I suggest dining at your resort's counter service restaurant. You'll still be enjoying a Disney meal, but you'll be able to dine earlier and probably faster.  Nearly all of the restaurants still feature Disney-themed food such as Mickey waffles that could be just as fun.  You could also have a mini-adventure by allowing your children to select a few Disney-themed snacks to bring home with you from the resort's gift shop. I know how much I love being able to extend the magic of Disney at home for as long as possible when we return. We often fill up a carry-on bag with lots of pre-packaged Disney goodies as they travel very well.

Wishing you a magical trip.  Please let us know if we can help with further questions.  -Kara
